Haiti disaster: Orange donation total so far

Ewan MacGregor, UNICEF ambassador, makes a heartfelt appeal for the children of Haiti

After posting how to donate to the Haiti disaster here on The Feed last week, we've had lots of comments and queries from people asking how much money has been raised by Orange.

We sent out the help Haiti SOS here on The Feed, over Twitter and the on Orange Film Club. Orange employees were encouraged to donate too. It garnered a huge response, and we are very pleased to tell you that a whopping £340,000 has been raised so far. And the pennies are still rolling in, as Orange and their disaster relief partner UNICEF continue to count up the donations. Thanks to everyone who has parted company with their hard-earned cash.

You can still donate of course. As we said before, you can give £2.50 instantly by texting 'donate' to 864233 from your Orange phone. Or simply head to the UNICEF website and make a pledge that way.

We'll keep you posted on the Orange donation total as it continues to climb.
